Danny Lehr

Danny Lehr is co-owner of Excel Health & Fitness and has been coaching for over 20 years. He found CrossFit through a friend, was instantly hooked, and built a career out of it.

He competed in Olympic weightlifting from 2010 to 2019 while running businesses and coaching full time, winning the 2019 Masters World Cup in the M35 89 kilo class on about three hours of training a week. He qualified for ten national competitions across those nine years. He is also co-founder of Caffeine and Kilos, the Official Coffee of USA Weightlifting.

Before the gym, Danny spent eight years teaching physical education and coaching wrestling, track, football and swimming. He holds a B.S. in Physical Education and an M.Ed. with an emphasis in cross-cultural teaching, and is the bestselling author of Win Your Next Hour.

He believes in using the work capacity you gain at the gym in everyday life. Outside of it he is with his wife Jessica and their two kids, and still finds time to hike, backpack, snowboard and golf.
